NCI seeks input to identify promising opportunities and cancer research needs that, while difficult to address on an individual scale, might be directly related to the scientific mission of a national lab. Responses will be accepted through Friday, February 19, 2021.

New pancreatic cancer data sets are now available through the NCI Genomic Data Commons, Proteomic Data Commons, and The Cancer Imaging Archive.

Applications are now being accepted for the NCI-DOE Collaboration Workshop Series on radiation oncology. Join multidisciplinary experts from basic science, clinical practice, and computational science to explore emerging and futuristic opportunities to advance radiation therapy.

Clinical plasma samples and associated clinical data collected from breast cancer patients by the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) are now publicly available research resources.

Requests for applications (RFAs) have been reissued by the NCI Informatics Technology for Cancer Research program. The RFAs, aimed at successive stages of informatics technology, are for algorithm development, prototyping and hardening, enhancement and dissemination, and sustainment.

NCI has issued a Request for Information to aid in planning a re-competition for supporting the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research. The lab provides rapid-response capabilities and one-of-a-kind resources for the biomedical research community (including informatics and data science expertise) on behalf of NCI and other NIH Institutes and Federal agencies. Responses are due by 4:00 p.m. ET on December 14, 2020.

Join the NCI-hosted 2021 Virtual Innovation Lab, “Modeling Emergent Cellular Behavior in Cancer,” to develop novel cross-disciplinary collaborations. Don’t miss the deadline; applications to attend are due Friday, December 11, 2020, 3:00 a.m. ET (midnight PT).

NIH is seeking comments and suggestions on the NIH-Wide Strategic Plan for COVID-19 Research. The plan will provide a framework for accelerating research to address this global pandemic.

In collaboration with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, NCI has developed COVID-19 Seroprevalence Hub (COVID-19 SeroHub), a central repository of SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence studies.

On November 30, 2020, the Food and Drug Administration’s precisionFDA launched the COVID-19 Precision Immunology App-a-thon.
