Data Scientist Needed to Fill Open Position with NCI’s Center for Cancer Research

Calling all data scientists—NCI’s Center for Cancer Research (CCR) wants to expand the data science capabilities of their High-Throughput Imaging Facility (HiTIF), and you could be a good fit for the job!

By hiring a staff scientist, HiTIF aims to support the growing need for advanced single-cell analysis of images generated by NCI light microscopy cores. To qualify, you must be proficient in data visualization, statistical modeling, machine learning, and deep learning techniques.

If you’d like to be considered for this position, apply by emailing your CV/resume, cover letter, and three references to Lucia Croce.

If chosen for the job, some of your duties would include:

  • applying advanced data analysis techniques to explore, analyze, and interpret large and complex biomedical data sets generated by high-throughput analysis of light microscopy images.
  • developing statistical models and algorithms to extract meaningful patterns and insights from large-scale data.
  • collaborating with researchers to identify key research questions and develop data-driven analysis workflows.

HiTIF is a shared collaborative resource for CCR and NIH investigators. Researchers design and execute novel, high-throughput, fluorescence microscopy-based imaging assays, which are used to identify and dissect the molecular mechanisms underlying physiological and pathological cellular processes.
