Using the Genomic Data Commons API
The NCI Genomic Data Commons’ (GDC) upcoming webinar will give developers, bioinformaticians, and data scientists an interactive demo of how to use its Application Programming Interface (API) to access GDC data and tools.
During the webinar, GDC expert Dr. Bill Wysocki will cover API endpoints for searching, downloading, analyzing, and submitting data. At the end of the webinar, attendees will be able to download the demo’s Jupyter notebook with templated functions and Python code examples to create custom queries against the GDC API.
For additional information on how the GDC works with other components in the NCI Cancer Research Data Commons, visit datacommons.cancer.gov.
Dr. Wysocki is the director of User Services and Outreach for the GDC at the University of Chicago.
