Data Jamboree: Enhancing Childhood Cancer Data Sharing and Utility
NCI Shady Grove Campus, Rockville, MD (Day 2)
If you’re an investigator, post-doc, or late-stage graduate student interested in using pediatric and AYA (adolescent and young adult) cancer data in your research, participate in this inaugural NCI Office of Data Sharing (ODS) childhood cancer data jamboree! You don’t need computational expertise to participate. Researchers, citizen scientists, patient advocates, and others are also welcome. By attending this event, you’ll have networking and collaboration opportunities; an invitation to present at the ODS annual symposium; real-time, hands-on experience; potential analysis findings and publication; and more!
During this event, you’ll:
- participate as part of a small team.
- work on a specific question or challenge (i.e., project).
- utilize available childhood cancer data sets.
The goal of this data jamboree is to promote:
- access and reuse of pediatric cancer data and raise awareness about availability.
- interdisciplinary collaborations.
- the development of new methods and tools for data analysis.
As a participant in the jamboree, you’ll also help identify gaps and limitations of existing data.
