The Sixth Computational Approaches for Cancer Workshop (CAFCW20) is an interdisciplinary workshop in which subject matter expertsin areas such as cancer biology, data science, and computational scienceshare their insights and challenges to foster collaborations and future innovations that will accelerate progress in computationally and data-driven cancer research and clinical applications. NCI Director Dr. Ned Sharpless will deliver this year's keynote, offering insight on the role of high performance computing (HPC) in cancer and COVID-19 research.

To encourage broad participation, the workshop maintains an open call for submissions of abstracts focused on the application of computational approaches to cancer challenges. Abstracts aligned to the special workshop topic, “AI and HPC: Overcoming Data Challenges in Cancer Research and Clinical Applications,” are also of particular interest. All abstracts must be submitted on Tuesday, September 8.

CAFCW20 is being held in conjunction with SC20, the International Conference on High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis.
