Poster Session: "Tumor Heterogeneity and Microenvironment: Next-Generation Sequencing, Single Cell, and Imaging" at the AACR Annual Meeting 2020
Presenter: Seven Bridges Genomics
Location: American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Virtual Meeting II
The Seven Bridges team is presenting a poster titled "Single-cell analysis on the Cancer Genomics Cloud reveals changes in the transcriptome profiles of endothelial tumor cells over time - novel insights from a public dataset of a mouse model of melanoma" at the AACR Virtual Meeting II.
The Cancer Genomics Cloud (CGC), is one of three NCI Cloud Resources providing researchers access to the Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC) array of repositories and more than 1,000 analytic tools, resources, and workflows to perform high-powered computation.
The team is discussing how they combined the rich data sets available through the Human Cell Atlas (HCA) with the tools and computational resources available on the CGC to provide a path for any scientist to explore complex biological questions. The goal of this study was to process a single-cell data set on the tumor microenvironment with the SmartSeq2 pipeline and to investigate changes in transcriptome profiles of endothelial tumor cells over time. This work demonstrates the importance of developing reproducible workflows that can run on multiple environments as well as data sharing, which can bring new insights from the existing data.
