NIH/NCI Virtual Workshop: Shaping the Landscape of Brain Metastases Research
Be a part of the conversation about brain metastases research by joining a session on data collection and standardization!
CBIIT’s Associate Director for Informatics and Data Science Program, Dr. Jill Barnholtz-Sloan, will moderate one of the workshop’s sessions where participants seek to answer data science-related questions about current and future priorities of brain metastases research.
Listen to presentations and join Dr. Barnholtz-Sloan and her colleagues in break-out discussions to help address the following:
- How do we systematically standardize and incorporate data collection into research initiatives?
- How do we maximize data resources, and what are the challenges involved?
- How do we address disparities in access, outcomes, and clinical trial enrollment?
The 2022 NIH/NCI Workshop: Shaping the Landscape of Brain Metastases Research will include clinical researchers, translational scientists, leaders from NCI-funded clinical trials networks, advocacy and foundation partners, academic societies, and NCI leadership. At the end of the two-day workshop, summaries will be provided to help shape priorities for the field.
As the Associate Director for Informatics and Data Science Program, Dr. Barnholtz-Sloan leads efforts at CBIIT to shape informatics data science strategies and foster collaboration. She is an active researcher and administrator and brings her insight into how data can be translated into real-world solutions to help diagnose, prevent, and treat cancer.
