NIA Artificial Intelligence Working Group Webinar: “Accelerating Bio Discovery with Machine Learning”
October 16, 2020
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
ET
Machine learning is currently playing an important role in life sciences, and recent advances are producing incredible results in consumer applications (e.g. photo recognition, language translation).
In this webinar, Dr. Philip Nelson, director of engineering in Google Research, will speak on machine learning and discuss how he and his Google Accelerated Sciences translational research team:
- Transform science problems into data problems
- Apply Google’s scaled computation, data-driven engineering, and machine learning to accelerate discovery
- Use machine learning and advanced computational techniques to accelerate bio discovery and consequently address science and healthcare challenges
Philip Nelson
Dr. Philip Nelson is a director of engineering in Google Research. He joined Google, Inc. in 2008 and currently leads the Google Accelerated Sciences team.
