NCI Emerging Technologies Seminar Series: Detecting and Characterizing the Structure of Extrachromosomal DNA
Are you interested in using extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) to better understand how cancer develops and progresses? Perhaps you’d like to study ecDNA to learn why some tumors are resistant to certain treatments? If so, attend this seminar to discover tools you can use for detecting, characterizing, and analyzing ecDNA.
Dr. Vineet Bafna, of the University of California-San Diego, will describe the Community Accessible Pipeline for ecDNA Reconstruction (or “CAPER”). Using this platform, you’ll be able to discern more about ecDNA, including its structure, function, and how it evolves over time.
The NCI Emerging Technologies Seminar Series highlights novel technologies supported through NCI awards that could transform cancer research and clinical care.
