Cloud Computing Workshop: Cancer Genomics Cloud (CGC)
The Cancer Genomics Cloud (CGC), powered by Seven Bridges Genomics, will lead a hands-on workshop teaching cancer researchers and data scientists how to leverage its cloud-based platform to access, analyze, and compute data sets from NCI’s Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC). This will be the second of three events in a cloud computing training series hosted by the NIH National Library of Medicine.
During the workshop, participants will learn how to:
- leverage the CGC’s cloud features.
- browse, query, and filter different data sets from the CRDC.
- use tools like RStudio and Jupyter notebooks to complete reproducible and interactive data analysis.
As the only CRDC Cloud Resource built on Amazon Web Services, the CGC provides researchers access to a wide variety of data sets, a catalog of tools to analyze and visualize the data directly from the browser, and scalable computational resources to perform large-scale analysis on the cloud.
