The Role of MIDRC in Medical Imaging AI
Join Dr. Maryellen Giger as she presents the role of the Medical Imaging and Data Resource Center (MIDRC) in advancing artificial intelligence (AI) within medical imaging.
You’ll hear her talk about the impact of MIDRC on clinical AI and patient care through topics such as:
- curated real-world data,
- representative data,
- validation methods,
- understanding potential biases, and more.
Dr. Maryellen Giger will also share insights based on her AI research encompassing cancer, neuroimaging, and COVID-19.
This webinar is part of the NIH Data Sharing and Reuse Seminar Series, which is hosted by the NIH Office of Data Science and Strategy. The monthly series highlights researchers who have taken existing data and found clever ways to reuse the data or generate new findings.
Dr. Giger is the A.N. Pritzker Distinguished Service Professor of Radiology at the University of Chicago. She also serves as the contact principal investigator on the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering’s Medical Imaging and Data Resource Center.
