Recompetition for NCI’s Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) Will Be Addressed at April “FFRDC Industry Day”
The Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR) is a government-owned, contractor-operated (GOCO) federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) supported by a dedicated branch of the NCI Office of Acquisitions. On April 8, 2021, an “FFRDC Industry Day” event will be open to potential bidders—including industry, academia, and other organizations—who are interested in competing for the prime contract to operate the FNLCR for the next several years. Register now to attend the event.
Event presenters will provide information on the NCI acquisition process; technical and scientific capabilities needed to operate a national lab; and an overview of management, facilities, business operations, and other pertinent topics. There will also be an opportunity to address questions.
As an FFRDC, FNLCR provides rapid-response capabilities and one-of-a-kind resources for the biomedical research community (including informatics and data science expertise) on behalf of NCI and other NIH Institutes and federal agencies, which makes this recompetition significant.
