Progress on International Childhood Cancer Data Partnership
Discover how an international working group is developing a strategy for creating and evaluating resources that describe potential data eligible for global sharing. Dr. Lynne Penberthy, associate director for NCI’s Surveillance Research Program and co-lead of this working group, will elaborate on this effort and the resource detailing the methods for international pediatric data sharing in particular. You’ll specifically learn about:
- ongoing initiatives for mapping available data in participating countries.
- updates to pilot projects, including the international piloting of ExtractEHR, an automated electronic health record extraction package.
G7 Cancer is an international cooperation mechanism that brings experts together in the fight against cancer. By means of working groups, participating organizations are sharing their expertise with each other, improving knowledge of cancer mechanisms, accelerating the transfer of scientific discoveries and their clinical applications, and stimulating innovation.
Dr. Penberthy is the associate director for the Surveillance Research Program within NCI’s Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences.
