Poster Session: "The Integrated Canine Data Commons: An Open Public Data Sharing Platform" at the 2020 VCS Virtual Annual Conference

October 15, 2020 - October 17, 2020

Attendees of the 2020 Veterinary Cancer Society (VCS) Virtual Annual Conference can learn more about NCI’s Integrated Canine Data Commons (ICDC) and how to access its collection of comparative oncology data at the daily virtual exhibit hall.

In many cases, canine cancers closely mimic their human counterparts in pathology, molecular features, biological behavior, host immunocompetence, and response to treatment. NCI’s Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis has launched the ICDC to make data from studies of spontaneously arising cancer in pet dogs accessible for hypothesis-driven comparative analysis of canine and human cancers.

As the latest repository in NCI’s Cancer Research Data Commons (CRDC), the ICDC provides online access to comparative oncology, genomic (and in the future, proteomic) imaging data. Leveraging the CRDC’s cloud-based infrastructure, veterinarian oncologists and cancer researchers can analyze the ICDC data online with more than 1,000 analytical tools and workflows.

To learn more about the ICDC, visit the poster during any of these virtual exhibit hall periods listed below or on the conference agenda.
