NCI Funded Coordinating Center Strategies and Tools for Promoting Data, Software, and Model Sharing to the Scientific Community
Hear Drs. Alan Hutson and Qian Liu give a high-level overview of the data, software and model sharing capabilities and strategies developed as part of funded efforts provided by the Cancer MoonshotSM Immuno-Oncology Translational Network (IOTN) Data Management Resource Center (DMRC) and the Drug Resistance Sensitivity Network (DRSN) Coordinating Center.
Specifically, they will:
- highlight a specific set of common workflow language (CWL) software tools they developed to aid cancer researchers by providing them portable and reproducible data analysis workflows across different tools and computing environments.
- discuss “Rcwl,” an R interface to CWL to enable scalable execution in a variety of computing environments, including local workstations, high performance computing, and the cloud.
- Based on this work, they have developed “ReUseData,” which uses the CWL framework to standardize data management for commonly used omics data resources.
This webinar is part of the monthly NIH Data Sharing and Reuse Seminar Series hosted by the NIH Office of Data Science and Strategy.
Dr. Hutson is Chair of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and associate director of the Biostatistics Shared Resource.
Dr. Liu is an assistant professor in the Department of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
