Leveraging Optical Imaging and Data Science to Enable Precision Intervention in Brain Tumor Surgery
During this webinar, NYU’s Dr. Daniel Orringer will discuss the impact of optical imaging and data science on brain tumor surgery. Dr. Orringer runs an interdisciplinary research group and specializes in brain mapping operations.
Attend to hear him talk about three initiatives for:
- improving surgical outcomes for people with brain tumors.
- using artificial intelligence to support surgical decision-making and brain tumor diagnosis.
- conducting clinical and translational trials of novel therapeutics.
Dr. Orringer is an associate professor of the departments of neurosurgery and pathology and the director of the neurosurgery residence program at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He specializes in brain mapping operations and developed a laser-based technique to detect previously undetectable tumors.
