Federated AI in Training Prediction Models: AI in Immuno-oncology
If you’re interested in how federated artificial intelligence (AI) could help address privacy and security concerns about sensitive patient data in immunotherapy, attend this presentation from Indiana University’s Dr. Spyridon Bakas and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s (UPMC’s) Dr. Riyue Bao.
They will:
- discuss the advances in federated AI development.
- focus on how immunotherapy prediction models could use federated AI.
This webinar is part of the 2024 SITC-NCI Computational Immuno-oncology Webinar Series, which focuses on the application of AI in immuno-oncology. This is the eighth of nine free webinars to help individual research labs overcome computational challenges while analyzing and integrating different assay data throughout the immuno-oncology spectrum using AI. The annual series aims to educate early-career scientists, increase participants’ awareness of and engagement in NCI-supported Cancer Moonshot℠ Immunotherapy Networks, and fulfill the Blue Ribbon Panel’s goal of accelerating progress in cancer research.
Dr. Bakas is the Joshua Edwards Associate Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. He is also the inaugural director of the Division of Computational Pathology.
Dr. Bao is co-director of bioinformatics at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
