Ci4CC Fall 2024 Symposium Presents, “Digitally Enabled Cancer Interventions: Power & Peril”
Are you attending this conference and interested in learning about the connection between cancer interventions and our growing reliance on digital systems? If so, check out the keynote address from NCI Deputy Director for Data Science and Strategy, Dr. Warren Kibbe!
Dr. Kibbe will be leading the discussion on, “Cancer Data Science—Melding Data, Informatics, & AI in Cancer Research,” during this 22nd Annual Cancer Informatics for Cancer Centers (Ci4CC) Symposium and Workshop. Dr. Kibbe’s keynote takes place on the first day (October 28) of the symposium from 8:15 a.m.–9:00 a.m., ET.
Digitalization is having a major impact on cancer treatment. The integration of digital systems in healthcare can enhance diagnostics, personalize treatments, and streamline care.
At the Ci4CC symposium, you’ll learn more about:
- the digitalization of interventional oncology technologies that are enhancing the accuracy and precision of interventions.
- quantitative integration of diverse data sets acquired in pre-, intra-, and post-interventional settings.
- the need for quantitative approaches that are driving multidisciplinary teams to collaborate with experts in robotics, machine learning, and operations research.
- what makes cancer care delivery vulnerable to cyberattacks.
NCI Deputy Director for Data Science and Strategy, Dr. Kibbe, serves as the senior advisor to NCI’s director for all matters related to data science. He provides strategic direction to NCI’s Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information Technology (CBIIT). Previously, Dr. Kibbe was vice chair and professor for the department of biostatistics and bioinformatics at Duke University, and he was chief data officer at the Duke Cancer Institute.
