The Cancer Imaging Archive
This webinar will provide a brief overview of The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA)/Clinical Proteomics Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC) imaging data by Mr. Justin Kirby, technical director of TCIA.
Mr. Kirby will demonstrate how to navigate the TCIA-CPTAC pathology portal with over 1,500 radiology and histology cases associated with the CPTAC proteomic datasets found in the Proteomic Data Commons.
This webinar is brought to you by the Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR). OCCPR aims to improve prevention, early detection, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer by enhancing the understanding of the molecular mechanisms of cancer, advancing proteome/proteogenome science and technology development through community resources (data and reagents), and accelerating the translation of molecular findings into the clinic.
Justin Kirby provides informatics and IT expertise to NCI's Cancer Imaging Program (CIP) with a focus on creating open-science resources to improve reproducibility and transparency in cancer imaging research. While he provides support to the program in many ways, his largest project has been providing technical direction and oversight to the Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA), which his team founded in 2011.
