Advancing the Use and Development of Common Data Elements in Research
Ready to discover the world of Common Data Elements (CDEs)?
During this workshop, you’ll hear from expert panels, researchers, professional societies, and patient organizations as they discuss the value, resources, and applications of CDEs.
Speakers will cover a range of relevant topics, including:
- technical implementation aspects and approaches to enhancing interoperability,
- overcoming barriers in CDE adoption in community research, and
- use cases for preparing and applying CDEs to intelligent technologies.
NIH endorses the use of CDEs to standardize data collection, sharing, and interoperability for disease research, including cancer. NIH’s Office of Data Science Strategy is collaborating with research stakeholders to enhance and broaden the development and adoption of CDEs for various diseases.
