What is cancer’s toughest challenge? Can data science help solve it? 

Submit your data science challenge idea by November 28, 2022, to the 2023 Cancer Grand Challenges, a co-sponsored initiative of NCI and Cancer Research UK.

Your idea could transform into a funded project operated by a multidisciplinary team that seeks to resolve the challenge. Of the eleven previously funded teams, several have used bioinformatics, machine learning, computer science, and modeling in their projects.

Compelling submissions should include a challenge that:

• is relevant to the understanding, prevention, detection, or treatment of cancer.
• cannot be addressed through standard funding mechanisms.
• calls for a multidisciplinary, global, team-science approach.

In Spring 2023, the Cancer Grand Challenges program will announce their final decisions.
