NIH Issues RFI for Common Fund Programs: Responses Due September 30

NIH is seeking ideas for new NIH Common Fund Programs, which support bold scientific programs that catalyze discovery across all biomedical and behavioral research.

Common Fund programs are made up of three broad categories:

  • Transformational Science and Discovery: Programs that involve creating new ways for scientists to establish new scientific principles and models.
  • Catalytic Data Resources: Programs that involve creating unique and valuable biomedical research data or computational tools.
  • Re-engineering the Research Enterprise: Programs that involve transforming biomedical and behavioral research, transitions research into prevention and therapies, and ensuring their broad adoption.
