To qualify you should be able to:

  • demonstrate expertise in using biomedical informatics tools and approaches for clinical research;
  • show experience in managing projects using informatics for precision medicine;
  • communicate and collaborate with others to develop informatics approaches;
  • supervise and direct other staff; and
  • confirm that you have a bachelor’s (or graduate/higher level) degree in a major study in an academic field related to the medical, health science, or allied scientific fields.

A sampling of your duties include:

  • managing projects to support clinical trials and precision medicine research programs;
  • managing biomedical informatics projects to support clinical trials;
  • working with others (individuals and teams) to develop successful solutions in clinical and translational informatics;
  • assuring that security plans protect patient confidentiality and corporate proprietary information; checking that disaster recovery plans are cost effective and cover a minimal loss of information and system down time; and
  • using your skills to advance studies in biomedical research, cancer clinical trials, cancer biology, and medical informatics research.
