Apply Now for Deputy Scientific Information Officer Role at NICHD

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD)—a sister institute of NCI—is hiring a Deputy Scientific Information Officer (SIO) to support NICHD’s Division of Intramural Research, Bioinformatics & Scientific Programming Core.

Appointed as a Staff Scientist, a successful Deputy SIO must be knowledgeable in:

  • data sharing.
  • IT governance.
  • IT infrastructure (network, security, cloud resources, high-performance computing).
  • biomedical research.

The candidate will work with scientific researchers to understand how data workflows interface with IT as well as identify new technologies, evaluate cloud resources, help coordinate scientific application development and implementation, and oversee strategic planning as it relates to IT governance and data sharing.
