NCI’s Center for Cancer Research is Hiring a Staff Scientist with Bioinformatics Expertise—Apply by February 13, 2023

The NCI Center for Cancer Research’s (CCR’s) HIV and AIDS Malignancy Branch (HAMB) is recruiting a staff scientist with expertise in bioinformatics and computer science.

If you are interested in applying, email your CV and the names of three references to Joseph Ziegelbauer by Monday, February 13, 2023.

The ideal candidate should have the following skills:

  • A strong background in computational skills is essential such as familiarity with Unix OS; programming languages such as R, Python, and Perl; biostatistics; machine learning; and algorithms.
  • Some background in translational biology is necessary.

Analysis responsibilities may include bulk and single-cell transcriptomics, whole genome sequencing, high-parameter flow cytometry, and multi-omics data integration. You may also need to use existing bioinformatics pipelines or develop modified computational approaches.
