Give Your Input on the Updated NIH Strategic Plan for Data Science
NIH needs feedback on the updated NIH Strategic Plan for Data Science, 2023–2028. If you’re a member of the scientific or patient community, a professional society, an academic institution, an advocacy group, the private sector, or a health professional, submit your comments on the NIH Office of Data Science Strategy website! Comments are due no later than Friday, March 15, 2024.
The updated plan:
- prepares NIH for new technologies and addresses the increase in the quality and diversity of data.
- supports the NIH Policy for Data Management and Sharing.
- embraces data-driven discovery.
- fosters ethical use of new methodologies related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Now that you know some of the highlights on the updated plan, give your input on:
- the appropriateness of the plan goals, strategies, and implementation tactics.
- opportunities for partnerships with NIH to achieve the plan goals.
- tools that support cancer research through data science.
- emerging research needs and opportunities that you think are missing from the plan.
