Deadline Extended: Submit Your Abstract for the Ninth Computational Approaches for Cancer Workshop by August 14

The deadline for abstract submissions has been extended from August 9 to August 14, 2023.

Do you have suggestions or experience applying computational approaches to cancer challenges? If so, share your knowledge by submitting an abstract to the Computational Approaches for Cancer Workshop (CAFCW23) by August 14, 2023!

The list of potential topics includes possible high performance computing technologies utilized in cancer applications and the various cancer research areas that may benefit from such technologies. Although, given the rapidly evolving nature of the field, authors should explore areas outside of the list.

CAFCW23 takes place on November 12, 2023, in Denver, CO, in conjunction with SC23, The International Conference on High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis. At CAFCW23, experts in data science and cancer research come together to give valuable insights, collaborate, and share advancements in computational and data-driven approaches to cancer challenges.

This year’s theme, “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion—From Science to Scientist,” will bring attention not only to limitations in the science due to unbalanced data but also to the inherent workforce limitations if all backgrounds, perspectives, demographics, and approaches are not involved.

The NCI-Department of Energy partnership coordinates CAFCW23, and is aimed at accelerating cancer research using emerging computing capabilities.
