Create Educational Courses and Encourage the Use of Common Fund Data Sets

Want to dip your toes into the world of education? In a recently published Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), you can apply to develop and run a short educational course, encouraging the use of NIH Common Fund data sets to early career cancer researchers! This would include cancer-related data sets such as Bridge to Artificial Intelligence (Bridge2AI) and Gabriella Miller Kids First.

Submit your application as early as January 14, 2024, and no later than February 14, 2024.

If selected, you will contribute to this NIH Research Education Program by:

  • creating and teaching short courses to equip program participants with the knowledge to interact with and use two or more Common Fund data sets in rigorous biomedical research.
  • developing mentoring activities to provide advice, insight, and professional career skills to participants who may be new to using cloud computing and Common Fund data sets in biomedical research.

This Common Fund initiative aims to support educational biomedical research with a primary focus on courses for skills development and mentoring activities.
