The funds available through this NCI-supported Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) can help you add data science mentoring and training to your existing training program. You can request up to a year of funding support, and the first available application deadline is February 13, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. (local time of applicant organization). Data science topics that you could add to your trainings might include:

• data management and sharing.
• metadata creation.
• machine learning.
• data curation.
• applying Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable (FAIR) principles.

Because certain types of cancers are linked to infectious- and immune-mediated disease, funding for collaboration is important to the field of cancer research. Existing biomedical, behavioral, and clinical training programs may not include data science elements.
