Business Applications Development Lead

Biography

Ms. Shan Liang is a business application development lead supporting the Office of the Chief Information Officer’s (OCIO’s) Digital Services and Solutions Branch. In this role, she manages the software development effort of business and scientific applications within the Software Engineering and Support Team. 

Ms. Liang has extensive experience in software development, project management, and customer services. She worked in the electronic Research Administration (eRA) program for 14 years, with roles including project manager, development manager, customer relationship manager, and service team lead. Ms. Liang also led many software development projects during her career in eRA.

Before transferring to NCI, Ms. Liang served as the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases’ IMPACII IC Coordinator, carrying a grant portfolio as a grants management specialist in the Grants Management Program.

Ms. Liang has a bachelor’s degree in biochemical engineering from China and a master’s degree in computer science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
