The Pathway to Independence Award for Outstanding Early Stage Postdoctoral Researchers (K99/R00) is a new NCI training award suited towards postdoctoral fellows pursuing careers in data science and cancer control science. Unlike other K awards offered by NCI, this Early K99 is designed for researchers who typically require a limited period of mentored training beyond their doctoral degrees. This award will help these researchers complete the necessary training and make a timely transition to independent faculty positions.
