NCI Data Catalog: Your One-Stop List for NCI Data
If you aren't aware of the NCI Data Catalog, you should check it out!
The NCI Data Catalog is a consolidated listing of the publicly available data collections produced by NCI initiatives, including The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) and Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. The catalog has been recently updated and now includes the Network Data Exchange (NDEX) project and the Personalized Cancer Therapy, both funded by the NCI Informatics Technology for Cancer Research (ITCR) program.
Researchers can use the catalog to find available NCI datasets and get practical information on how to request access to download data. The NCI Data Catalog facilitates data sharing between researchers, which is essential to enhancing reproducibility and accelerating scientific discovery and clinical translation. The listing will continue to be updated frequently with new information and datasets as soon as they are available, so it will evolve and grow over time, increasing its value to the research community.
For more information on the NCI Data Catalog and how it integrates with NCI strategic initiatives, tools, and resources, you are invited to attend our NCI Sponsored Session on Monday, April 18, at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) 2016 Annual Meeting.
